Who we are
This website (https://fmra.com.au) is operated by Futures Markets Research Associates Pty Ltd (“FMRA”, “we”, “us”), Melbourne, Australia. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling any personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
What information we collect and why
Contact form. When you send us an enquiry through our contact form, we collect the information you provide. This is typically your name, email address, and the content of your message. We use this solely to respond to your enquiry and to communicate with you about it. Submissions are stored in our website’s database and emailed to us. We do not use these details for marketing, and we do not sell or rent them to anyone.
Spam protection. Our contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-friendly service that distinguishes genuine visitors from automated bots without tracking you across the web. To do this, some technical information (such as your IP address and browser characteristics) is processed by Cloudflare solely to verify the request. Analytics. We use Matomo to understand how visitors use our site (for example, which pages are viewed) so we can improve it. Matomo runs on our own server. The analytics data stays with us and is not shared with any third party. We run it with IP-address anonymisation and in a cookieless configuration, and we honour browser “Do Not Track” requests. The information is used only in aggregate to measure site usage.
Server logs. Like most websites, our web server automatically records standard technical information (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) in log files. This is used for security, diagnosing problems, and maintaining the site. It is not used to identify you personally.
Embedded content. Pages on this site may occasionally include embedded content (e.g. a document or video from another website). Embedded content from other websites behaves as if you had visited that other website, and those sites may collect data about you under their own privacy policies.
Cookies
This site uses only cookies that are necessary for it to function and for basic security. Our analytics (Matomo) is configured to be cookieless and does not use tracking cookies. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
Who we share your information with
We do not sell or trade your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the site: with our web-hosting provider (storage), our email-delivery provider (to send enquiry notifications), and Cloudflare (spam protection for the contact form). Our website analytics are collected via Matomo running on our own server and are not shared with anyone.
How long we keep your information
We keep contact-form enquiries only for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any related follow-up, after which they are deleted, unless we are required to retain them for legal, administrative, or security reasons.
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Principles you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (except where we are obliged to keep it).
